Dr. John S. Lee received his bachelor’s degree from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. He then received dental degree from Columbia University and his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. He did residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. He did his general surgery training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Dr. Lee is a Portland plastic surgeon with membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgeons (ABPS). This certification guarantees that Dr. Lee has completed a minimum of six years of surgical training following medical school, including an approved residency program in plastic surgery and has passed comprehensive oral and written exams. ABPS certification uniquely qualifies Dr. Lee to perform reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery of the face and entire body.
Dr. Lee has been in solo plastic surgery practice in Portland, Oregon, since 1999. He took over Dr. Eugene Perrin’s plastic surgery practice in Portland in 2004. In 2017 Dr. Lee moved his practice to Beaverton, Oregon and did a complete remodel of the building we are now in. Our beautiful NW Portland Plastic Surgery Center office is custom-fitted with a fully accredited surgical suite and state-of-the-art medical equipment. We do most of our surgeries here in our plastic surgery clinic including breast augmentations and breast lifts and breast implant exchanges and all our facial surgeries including facelifts, blepharoplasty (eye surgery), neck lifts, otoplasty (ear surgery). Tummy tucks and breast reduction surgery as well as rhinoplasties (nose surgery) are typically done in an outside surgery center.

Dr. Lee stresses natural looking results in all that he does. With breast augmentation surgery he works to achieve a fuller and rounder appearance without looking artificial. When he does rhinoplasty, he works to give your nose an improved appearance while matching your overall facial features. Dr. Lee does eyelift or blepharoplasty procedures without any external or visible scar and his technique also does not change the shape of your eyes as can occur with other techniques. When he does facelift surgery he tightens the inner tissues of the face rather than just the skin to avoid a “windswept” looking result.
