Portland Short Scar Breast Lift
Classic Breast Surgery involves removing skin and tissue by creation of an “Inverted Anchor” scar. This new technique achieves superior aesthetic results both in breasts and with less scarring.
Short scar breast lift is not for everyone. Since there are fewer incisions, the amount of lift possible with this technique is significantly less than the traditional breast lift. The emphasis of a short scar lift is the area immediately beneath the nipple. An incision is made that runs vertically downwards from the areola all the way to the crease where the breast meets the chest. Skin is removed around this incision and a firmer breast is the result. However, the amount of lift is directly proportional to the amount of skin removed, and this technique is about minimizing the skin loss (and hence the scarring).
Short scar breast lifts are a great option for those wanting fewer scars and have less demanding requirements for a breast lift.
